    Job Description: The RN will be working closely with the physician to ensure that clinic runs smoothly. RN will be responsible for calling patients back to the exam rooms, assisting with procedures, scheduling surgeries, returning phone messages and other duties assigned by physician.

    Qualifications:

    • Must be a graduate from an accredited school of nursing
    • Must have great computer skills and the ability to multi-task
    • Would prefer to have someone with at least 2 years of orthopedic experience

  • Patient Accounts Coordinator Southern Surgery Center (Full-time)


    The Patient Accounts Coordinator submits insurance claims, creates billing statements, performs patient account duties, appeals insurance denials, posts surgery/pain management charges, and works insurance receivables. Responsible to the Office Manager.

    Qualifications:

    • Must have completed high school or equivalent.
    • Must be able to communicate the English language, both written and verbal.
    • Experience in submitting billings for health care.
    • Knowledge of billing and diagnostic codes used in billing for health care services.
    • Knowledge of medical terminology.
    • Must possess the physical ability and perceptive acuity (e.g. visual, hearing) to satisfactorily perform all direct and indirect clerical functions.
    • Must have or obtain CPR certification.

    Reposponsibilities and Duties:

    • Posts all insurance payments (electronic payments and checks) to the patient’s account/encounter.
    • Posts all patient payments (InstaMed, checks, credit cards, etc.) to the patient’s account/encounter.
    • Assists patients with their accounts.
    • Runs statement reports to ensure statements go out in a timely manner.
    • Runs collection reports and responsible for collection process (phone calls, letters).
    • Post collection agency payments.
    • Handles all bankruptcy notices.
    • Assists the Receptionist/Admitting Clerk when necessary.
    • Participates in pertinent educational programs and facility meetings.
    • Performs all other assigned duties as directed by Office Manager.

The Physician Assistant will treat and evaluate patients on a day-to-day basis, including performing comprehensive histories and physical examinations, ordering and interpreting diagnostic test, etc. under the supervision of a physician. Must be willing to work flexible hours.

    Qualifications:

    • Master’s degree in Health Sciences for Physician Assistants or related
    • Requires Certified Physician Assistant (PA-C)
    • Requires completion of the Physician Assistant National Certifying Examination (PANCE) administered by National Commission of Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA)
    • Prior orthopaedic experience in a clinic setting is preferred
