Robert Dews, M.D.

Board-certified, Fellowship-trained Orthopaedic Surgeon

Dr. Robert Dews, a Hattiesburg native, is a board-certified, fellowship-trained, sports medicine orthopaedic surgeon. He received his bachelor’s degree from Millsaps College and his medical degree from the University of Mississippi Medical Center where he also completed a residency. He completed an AO Trauma fellowship at Watauga Orthopedics and a sports medicine fellowship at Mississippi Sports Medicine. He is a member of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons, Mississippi Orthopaedic Society, American College of Sports Medicine, Arthroscopy Association of North America and American Orthopedic Society for Sports Medicine. Dr. Dews recently received board certification in sports medicine from the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery. He is an adjunct clinical professor at William Carey University College of Osteopathic Medicine. Dr. Dews currently serves as a sports medicine physician for the University of Southern Mississippi.
