Board-certified, Fellowship-trained Hand and Upper Extremity Orthpaedic Surgeon
Dr. Rocco Barbieri, a board-certified, fellowship-trained hand and upper extremity orthopaedic surgeon, spent three years as the head of the division of hand and Microvasular Surgery at the New Jersey Medical School in Newark. He currently is an associate editor for the Journal of Orthopaedic Trauma and is an active member of the American Association for Hand Surgery. Dr. Barbieri serves as Medical Director for the Hand Treatment Center. Dr. Barbieri was fellowship trained in Reconstructive Surgery of the Hand and Upper Extremity at the University of Mississippi Medical Center. He received additional instruction in the art of microvascular tissue transfer at Southern Illinois University. He recently became a member of the American Society for Surgery of the Hand (ASSH). Dr. Barbieri served as president of the Southeastern Hand Club in 2015.
