SBJ Announces Pain Management Physician
Southern Bone and Joint Specialists, P.A. has announced its newest physician, John B. Adams, D.O., F.I.P.P., who is fellowship-trained and board certified in interventional pain management.
Dr. Adams received his bachelor’s degree from the University of Georgia. He received his doctorate of osteopathic medicine degree from Nova-Southeastern University. He completed a family practice residency at the University of Alabama-Birmingham/Selma. He completed an interventional pain management fellowship in 2004 from the Interventional Pain Center in Birmingham, Ala. under the direction of Dr. James Beretta. Dr. Adams has more than 15 years experience as a board certified pain management specialist.
Dr. Adams is a member of the Mississippi Medical Association, Spinal Intervention Society (SIS), World Institute of Pain (WIP), American Society of Interventional Pain Physicians (ASIPP), American Board of Independent Medical Examiners (ABIME) and American Academy of Pain Medicine (AAPM). Dr. Adams, in addition to subspecialty certification in pain management by the American Board of Medical Specialties (ABMS), has earned the designation of Fellow of Interventional Pain Practice (FIPP) and Master Certified Independent Medical Examiner (MCIME).
